ELEPHANTS IN ZIMBABWE
CORT WROTE US A FAMILY LETTER NOT TO LONG AGO.. WE HAD ALL BEEN ASKING HIM ABOUT WILD ANIMALS. HERE IS ONE PARAGRAPH THAT HE WROTE ABOUT ANIMALS..
SO I MYSELF HAVE SEEN SOME COOL ANIMALS OUT HERE ON MY MISSION. I HAVE SEEN LIONS, MONKEYS, ZEBRAS, MIRROR CATS, SNAKES, KAMILIANS. ( I SHOT A KAMILIAN OUT OF A TREE WITH MY SLING SHOT. :) DADDY'S LITTLE HUNTER). BUT THE COOLEST THING I HAVE SEEN IS AN ELEPHANT. WE WERE DRIVING FROM ZAMBIA TO ZIMBABWE, AND IN THE BUSH WE SAW SOME TWO ELEPHANTS, SO WE PULLED OVER AND TURNED AROUND AND WENT AND GOT PICTURES. AND ALL WAS GOOD UNTIL THE AP, ELDER PATTERSON, HONKED THE HORN AND MADE THE ELEPHANT ATTACK US, THAT WAS SCARY, BECAUSE WHEN THE ELEPHANT GOT ON THE ROAD IT WAS TWICE THE SIZE OF THE VAN. IT WOULD HAVE KILLED US FOR SURE. BUT ELDER PATTERSON GOT OUT OF THERE FASTER THEN THE ELEPHANT COULD CATCH US.. ( I WROTE THAT IN HIS WORDS AND SPELLING).. HAHA
I CANNOT IMAGINE THE FEELING OF BEING CHASED BY AN ELEPHANT, BUT I WOULD GUESS AS LONG AS ONE COULD RUN FASTER THEN THEIR COMPANION YOU JUST MIGHT GET AWAY... HAHA

STILL WAITING FOR A NEW POST..!
Wow, what an adventure he is having. It is Katie's dream to serve a mission in Africa with her husband, Ryan. You know, when you don't see someone for years they are frozen in time. I can't believe you have married children, a missionary son, and grandkids. Life marches on for all of us, even when our paths part. I am so happy for you!
