OUR CHRISTMAS TREE

DECORATING OUR CHRISTMAS TREE HAS ALWAYS BEEN
A WONDERFUL TRADITION AT OUR HOME..
AFTER SEARCHING FOR JUST THE RIGHT TREE,
BART MAKES IT PERFECT BY ADDING BRANCHES WHERE
THE TREE IS LACKING OR CUTTING OFF WHERE THEY
MIGHT BE A BIT TO LONG.. THEN HE SPENDS HOURS
PUTTING ON 100'S OF LIGHTS.. WE LIKE THE MULTICOLORED
ONES... THEN I GET OUT ALL MY ORNAMENTS..
WE HAVE A TON OF ORNAMENTS.. IT TAKES ME HOURS
TO PUT ON THE OLD, NEW, HOMEMADE, FANCY, PLAIN, SHINY,
MATTE FINISH, SILVER, GOLD, GLASS, WOOD, FABRIC,
CUTE, ROUND, SQUARE, & GLITTERY ORNAMENTS.
EACH ONE SEEMS TO HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE..
AND I LOVE STARTING OUT WITH A PLAIN TREE
AND LOADING IT WITH SO MANY MEMORIES..
BART HELPED WITH THE HIGH ONES.. HE HAD TO CLIMB
A LADDER TO REACH IT. IT IS 10 FT TALL...
IT IS FINALLY DONE AND WAITING FOR SOME
BEAUTIFUL PACKAGES TO SIT UNDER IT..
IT TURNED OUT BEAUTIFUL AND FUN...
WE LOVE TO PLUG IT IN AND TURN OFF ALL THE LIGHTS
IN THE HOUSE AND JUST SIT AND STARE...
HERE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITES..

FLOWERS FROM LORA'S WEDDING

SILVER TINSEL FROM LORA'S WEDDING TREE
AND CLEAR ORNAMENTS WITH ALL THE LIGHTS

A SEE THROUGH GLASS ORNAMENT I RECEIVED FROM A FRIEND

NATIVITY FROM SIS. BRULE'

A PAINTED SLEIGH, PRETTY FLOWERS AND BLOWN GLASS BALLS

THE FINAL PRODUCT..
THIS PICTURE DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE...
SO IF YOU READ MY LAST POST,
YOU WILL KNOW THAT THE GUEST
BED IS MADE AND READY FOR A VISITOR
MERRY CHRISTMAS..

Your tree looks incredible! I love that you can remember the story behind all of the ornaments. Do your kids get to come out and visit for Christmas this year?

nooe... we are heading that way again... easier and cheaper for us to come there then for them to come here... sad I know... but can't do anything about it.. plus I get to see extended family... fun stuff... can't wait to see that little one of yours..
